Pop icon Madonna has shown fans she’s not hanging up the microphone anytime soon with an energetic two-hour performance at Auckland’s Vector Arena last night.
The show was a mixed bag, with varying themes of religion, Asian culture and war appearing throughout the show.
The 57-year-old arrived fashionably late to the show, making restless fans wait nearly two hours before gracing the stage.
Fans didn’t know what to expect next as Madonna pole danced, stripped, screamed and played the electric guitar during her first ever New Zealand show.
She performed both new songs and old classics, including Material Girl and Like A Virgin, and tweeted immediately after the show.
“A Happy Girl in New Zealand! What FUN,” she wrote.
